Forbes High School would like to express our gratitude & appreciation to our elders & community, our partner primary & high schools, parents and family members who attended our Official Yarning Circle Opening today. Thank you for the connecting, yarning & celebrating we got to share with you all at such an important cultural event on this beautiful Wiradjuri land.
Our official Yarning Circle opening consisted of a Traditional Smoking ceremony performed by Jared from Dinawans Connection, traditional dance performance by our FHS Nginhagu Dance group, Arlo from Forbes Public & Tyrell from Dinawans Connection. We enjoyed eating Traditional damper and fried scones thanks to Aunty Mavis.
