BroSpeak is an initiative run by the Forbes High School Aboriginal Education Officer and is designed to help young Aboriginal men to become stronger in their community and themselves. The initiative will run once a week for two hours over six to eight consecutive weeks. As a group they will speak with people like Joel Thompson and other strong role models in the Forbes community.
BroSpeak is designed to build strength and to become role models themselves and in their own communities. This will also provide knowledge and processes that will allow the boys to learn more about the country they are currently meeting upon and the country which they belong. This will provide an experience where participants can explore their Aboriginal identity to see what is unique to them and what is shared by other Aboriginal boys.
