Each school in NSW offers something slightly different depending on the community. Here's what we offer for you.
Canteen
All canteens in NSW public schools must meet certain requirements. These include providing more healthy food and drink options – to make the healthy choice an easy choice for students. Visit Healthy school canteens to learn more.
Forbes High School canteen is coordinated by the P&C with all profits being used to maintain facilities and provide extra resources for the school.
Christine Crawford is the Canteen Manager.
Volunteers are most welcome. Please contact the school on 6852 2666 during school hours for more information.
Uniforms
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
is appropriate for the full range of school activities
is suitable for all body shapes.

School uniforms
Our school uniform policy is set in accordance with DoE policy. We encourage all students and families to purchase the school uniform whilst enrolled in our school.
The school uniform can be purchased locally from Gunns Mensland and MBR Clothing. The school also has a clothing pool located at the school office to support families and students with low cost uniform options.

Subject resources and equipment
Students are required to purchase specific resources and equipment needed for each year of study.
Resources and school equipment can be purchased locally through News on Rankin, with back to school packages made available.

Excursions
Forbes High School offers a variety of school excursions across all years of schooling. Information relating to each excursion is provided to students and families in advance. Excursions mostly have a cost associated with them for students who participate.
Hiring our facilities
You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring of the facility doesn't interfere with our teaching and learning programs.

Making a payment
Payments can be made either through the school office or online. Our school website has a tab make a payment, which allows families to access payment facilities more readily.
