Former 2010 Forbes High School Year 12 Student Laura Lodge has received the prestigious Australian Vocation Student Prize. Laura is the third Forbes High Student to receive the award with Nicole Stephens in 2009 and Lisa Coombs in 2003.
The Australian Vocational Student Prize promotes vocational education at school and recognises students who choose to pursue a practical training pathway while completing their senior secondary studies. Nationally up to 500 prizes are awarded to outstanding Year 12 students. Schools are invited to nominate students who have demonstrated outstanding vocational and employability skills, high achievement and commitment while undertaking a Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Schools program or an Australian School-based Apprenticeship.
Congratulations to all.
