Community NAIDOC Celebrations
Students and staff attended Forbes Community NAIDOC Celebrations. This event provided a valuable opportunity to recognise and honour the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. By participating in NAIDOC activities, students and staff strengthened connections to the local community, deepened their cultural understanding and showed respect for First Nations peoples.
2026 Term 2 Formal Assembly
This special event is dedicated to recognising and celebrating student achievement. We were delighted to welcome families into our school community for this important occasion, where we acknowledged the hard work, dedication and excellence demonstrated by our students throughout the term.
2026 NAIDOC Week Celebrations
NAIDOC Week was celebrated with a vibrant student-led assembly and a range of activities throughout the week, highlighting Aboriginal education at Forbes High School. This celebration reflected our commitment to honouring and deepening our understanding of Indigenous heritage.
2026 School Spirit Week - Disco
The disco theme, ‘Nowhere Else to Wear This’, encouraged students to wear unique outfits, whether new or rarely worn. The night was filled with laughter, great music, and unforgettable dance floor memories.
2026 School Spirit Week - Colour Wars
Once again, for the last day of Spirit Week we brought back our fan-favourite: ‘Colour Wars’, where every year group was assigned a vibrant colour and got to deck themselves out in accessories.
2026 School Spirit Week - Decades
On Day 4 of Spirit Week, students dressed to represent different decades. Groups competed in the Guess the Song Challenge, racing to identify music from various eras for prizes.
2026 School Spirit Week - In The Movies
Day 3 of Spirit Week had a ‘In the Movies’ theme. Friends dressed as favourite movie characters and performed in a hotly contested Movie Scene Performance Challenge.
2026 School Spirit Week - Activities and Games
For the third consecutive year the SRC organised our annual School Spirit Week. The week featured themed dress-up days, accessory days, a school disco, and engaging activities and games during recess and lunchtime.
Year 11/12 English Advanced The Tempest (Sydney)
Year 11 and 12 English Advanced students travelled to Sydney to view a performance of The Tempest by William Shakespeare and attend the associated symposium, delivered by the Sport for Jove.
