STUDENT LEADERSHIP INDUCTION
Family members joined us in a special moment, pinning badges on our new student leaders as they stepped into their roles for 2026. It was a heartwarming occasion capped off with a lovely morning tea, celebrating the start of an exciting leadership journey.
REMEMBRANCE DAY
To commemorate all those who have died or suffered in wars, conflicts and peace operations. We paid our respects during a service at school while our school leaders represented us at the community Remembrance Day Service.
CLASS OF 2025 - GRADUATION ASSEMBLY
On Friday, the final day of the Term 3, we officially bid farewell to our Year 12 cohort of 2025 during their graduation assembly. Amidst tears and laughter, we reflected on the cherished memories of their high school journey.
SENIOR DINNER DANCE
In Week 7, students from Years 9 to 12 attended a glamorous “Hollywood” themed Senior Dinner Dance at Forbes Town Hall, featuring a red carpet welcome. We are incredibly proud of the way our students conducted themselves, embodying the values of our school community.
AGRICULTURAL SHOW TEAM
Our Agricultural Show Team is a passionate group of students who celebrate rural traditions and skills through hands-on participation in local agricultural events and competitions. From animal husbandry to crop cultivation and sustainable farming practices, the team fosters knowledge, teamwork, and leadership.
MERIT AND RECOGNITION MORNING TEA
Forbes High School has introduced a Merit and Recognition procedure for 2025 to acknowledge students' positive contributions and achievements. This initiative promotes positive behaviour, reinforces learning, and encourages student involvement. At the end of Semester 1 we hosted a morning tea to honour the deserving recipients.
SEMESTER ONE AWARDS ASSEMBLY
On the last day of Term 2, we held our Semester One Awards Assembly, where we celebrated our students for their remarkable achievements and dedication throughout the semester. The assembly served as a reminder of the potential within each student and the importance of supporting one another on our educational journeys.
ANNUAL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
The weather was kind to us for our Athletics Carnival, with brisk morning conditions leading to a perfect day. Student participation was outstanding, creating a positive atmosphere that permeated throughout the entire day. The day showcased our positive school culture, celebrating all students, whether they were breaking records or simply finishing events. We were once again humbled by our students and the outstanding humans that they are.
NATIONAL SORRY DAY
On National Sorry Day, we acknowledged the continuing impact of historical government policies, including those dealing with education, on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We acknowledged the survivors of the Stolen Generation and the lasting impact to those who were forcibly removed from not only their families but also their communities, their culture, and their Country.
DO IT FOR DOLLY DAY
On Do it for Dolly Day students and staff were encouraged to wear blue-themed casual clothes for a gold coin donation, aiming to raise funds to help end bullying. We also hosted a bake sale to support the cause, taking a stand against bullying and showing our solidarity with those affected by it. We honoured Dolly by sharing the Dolly's Dream message: be kind and speak, even if your voice shakes.
ANZAC DAY
Students and staff participated in the Forbes ANZAC Day Community March and the Eugowra Service to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Australian and New Zealand armed forces.
Marching together reinforces our community's values of unity and loyalty. We carry their legacy with pride and remain committed to fostering peace and understanding in our actions.
ANNUAL SWIMMING CARNIVAL
The atmosphere of our school shone brightly during our swimming carnival. It was a wonderful day filled with joy as staff and students came together, with our students displaying exceptional pride, passion and camaraderie.
