Wow, what a day our Forbes High School student's had at the Bedgerabong Pig Youth Show on Wednesday 16 May.
The event allowed students the opportunity to further develop a wide range of skills, knowledge and understanding about the pork industry. Students were involved in industry presentations, pig judging and pig handling/parading, throughout the day, competing against other students from surrounding schools.
On behalf of our Science faculty we are very happy to announce that Jack Cole, Louise Herford, Kyle Bolam, William Cox and Alex Constable made it through to the talking final of pig judging with Jack making the final top 5 , qualifying him for the Sydney Royal Show next year in 2019. This is a fantastic achievement and we wish Jack all the best next year.
Special mention also goes to William Stamp and Blair Barnes for receiving the Encouragement Award for pig handling/parading on the day. Both boys did a great job representing the school and doing their best on the day.
Students were accompanied on the day by Mrs Eagles and Mr Byrnes who are extremely proud of the students achievements. Mrs Eagles stated "Mr Byrne's and myself are so proud of our student's and the wonderful job they do representing our school".
