On Wednesday 22 November Forbes and Parkes High Schools will take part in the Cmoc- Northparkes Mines Domestic Violence Cup.
The event will be held at Forbes High School and is just one of the initiatives Forbes High School is involved in as part of the lead up to the Forbes Domestic Violence Community March to be held November 24.
Over the course of the event we will have students from Forbes High School participate in the opens rugby league competition, as well as have some of our students assisting with conducting the Welcome and Cleansing Dance. Students, staff and community members will also unite in a minutes silence in honour of domestic violence victims. The day also has quite a lot of personal significance for our school community, with the Oliver Carlisle Memorial Medal being awarded on the day.
A BBQ will also be provided on the day for students and people attending.
For further information about the event please contact Mr Merritt at school on 68522666.
